I just got an email stating that my hosting service (Bluehost) upgraded my WordPress to 4.0.1. I am able to login to the Admin Dashboard and my site (and site theme) seem to be working, but the the Dashboard is very raw html and appears to be missing the CSS to format the pages …. I’m a bit of a rooky, so where do I go from here to restore the Admin capabilities?

  • Very same thing. Auto installed then manually. I tested on a dev site and all went well, there was a database update that did not happen on the live site.

Can you tell me what the database update was, or how I can correct my database v… surely this problem is happening to many users … is there a fix?

Determined that something about the CSS was being blocked by my local Area Network at work … when I logged in outside of the work network the Dashboard worked just fine.
