• Okay, I’m probably missing something basic, but I can’t get my css to look quite right. What I’m attempting to do is create an overlapped set of boxes for my story content and title which would look like this. What I get is this . I’ve tried to set the z-index as well as played with the opacity of “.storytitle” and “content div.post h3” without any success. You can see the full css at https://www.samuraipanda.com/wordpress/wp-layout.css. Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ben

  • To make z-index works, you could add position: relative; in that same content div.post h3

Use a bg image of that color.

I know you guys do check out people css and play around with it sometime. i hope you guys can help me out cuz i tried for 10 hours to fix this mini bug.
I am trying new stuff to release a template for wordpress community since i am being asked for it for quite a number of time.
It’s kubrick + pictorialis version of wordpress.
Everthing appears fine in firefox, but in IE everything appears fine until you click on the comment link. When the comments form open up (i didnt use pop up comment although that might easily fix the problem) the whole body template just crumble in IE.

    Perfect. Adding position: relative worked.
    Thanks,
