• Hi Peter

A question re CSV import – is there any way or logic that an “auto map” button could be created on the CSV mapping screen. I regularly import CSV files from excel that people mess with (yes, I know…) , they love to add unrelated columns , reorder them etc – but I can at least count on the column heading name being the same and to match the column name in the database.

My CSV and database seem to change regularly – what would be great would be the ability to import a CSV at the mapping screen, press a button to automatically tie up the perfect (case insensitive?) matches of field header name in the CSV file to table column name – leaving just the stragglers left in the “table” area of the CSV import for review and either manual mapping or ignoring.

    Your thoughts are appreciated

    Thanks

    Hi @snyggapa,

Tomorrow I’ll go on holiday. After my holiday the CSV import is subject to change. A new premium feature will be added to allow updates from a CSV file. Let me see if I can add auto mapping as well. This will be a “as good as it gets” mapping. It all depends on the names written to the CSV file.

Thank you for your change request ??
