CSV import issue

    Hi,
    I have used a clean 3.2.1 to start importing my post via CSV method.
    I chopped 10000 posts into 100 posts each. The first few hundreds are zipping through averaging 1 – 2 sec per post. As progresses, I noticed it’s slowing down. After about 10 of 100 CSV imports, which = 1000 posts. Now, every post takes about 5 sec. Is this normal?
    As DB gets bigger, it takes longer time to write?

    What happens the DB has 10000 posts? Will it take 20 sec per post? ??
    I guess I will find out when I’m done with all the imports.

    I was wondering if someone had the same observation as I did and was able to fix it.

    don’t use %postname alone, use something like /%post_id%/%postname%/
    and importing or writing a new post will be a flash.. heard that 3.3 version will be have this fixed.

    Are you referring to the pretty permalinks? That fixed it? I’m working on a CSV Importer now and I noticed that DB writes were getting slower as more posts were saved.
