CSV Product Import Freezes

    I have .csv spreadsheet with some 12000 lines of product data.

    I have removed all products from the site to do a clean install but
    every time I attempt to import the csv it will freeze about an hour or so. When this happens I have been restarting the importer again so it carries on from where it stopped. But I don’t believe a log file is being generated so I have no idea what products, if any, have errors.

    Has anyone else had this issue, any ideas what I could do to get this running smoothly.

    Hi @studiophg,

    From what you describe with an import freezing it could be that due to the amount of data your web server is timing out. Have you tried splitting the CSV file down into smaller files which maybe contain 1000 – 2000 lines and trying to import those individually, if not I would suggest you give that a try and see if it then works out for you.
