Just discovered Analytics on the navigation bar and started downloading reports a couple of months ago. I read several other posts about not getting the email with the download link, but my issue is that I cannot get the CSV file to download from that email.

When I click the link, I can see a string at the bottom of the email but a file never pops up to save. I remember last month I had to repeat the download a couple of times but it finally worked. Today I tried several times without success. I finally had to copy/paste results into an Excel spreadsheet to get the report out on time. An okay workaround but very time consuming. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Please note that my forte is customer service. Thanks in advance!

  • WordPress doesn’t have analytics, so you must have a plugin to supply that.
You should ask at the plugin’s support forum since we don’t know anything about that here.

Thanks for your reply, but the only reason I posted here was because I found this discussion: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/your-orders-report-will-be-emailed-to-you-report-missing/

I see now that Analytics on my toolbar is part of WooCommerce. Searching the forums, I see thousands of posts. So do I still need to go to WooCommerce.com for support?

Thanks for your help. Just purchased this website and trying to figure things out.

That forum topic is in the woocommerce plugin support forum.

Please ask plugin questions in the plugin’s support forums, because the volunteers in the main forums don’t know much about the 50,000 plugins.

Thank you for the feedback! I’ve got it bookmarked now.

    Hi @celeste1950,

The eCommerce plan installs WooCommerce, and several other plugins, using symlinks to a shared install point across sites. Because of this, the email logic in WooCommerce appears to try and use a path to load the CSV report template and fails to locate the file due to the incorrect path. This results in the problem of the email are unable to be sent every time.

When I have looked at possible solutions, it seems like fixing the mailer class within WooCommerce might be needed, or perhaps a more simple solution would be to move the email templates for these reports to Woo Core itself ( or leverage a generic template if one exists ), since all other transactional emails seem to work fine. It seems to only impact WooCommerce Admin since it is installed as a composer package. The last solution that you can try is to install the plugin version of Woocommerce-admin.

Let me know if my answer can help you resolve the issue.

    All the best!
