Ctrl + Click to select text in block not working

  • Since the launch of wordpress 5.8, I have noticed that ctrl + click has stopped working and now I can’t use this keyboard and mouse combination to select text in paragraph or heading block etc. Do anybody know what would be the cause behind this ?

  • Since the launch of wordpress 5.8, I have noticed that ctrl + click has stopped working

    I just checked the official list of shortcuts ( Shift + Alt + H), but I didn’t see Ctrl + Click in the list.

    I also installed a fresh sandbox site with 5.7, but pressing Ctrl + Click didn’t select any text on 5.7 either. So I don’t think anything has changed in that respect with 5.8.

    Ctrl + Shift + Click works though.

    Sorry I was meaning to say shift + click , Let try this scenario

    Using wordpress 5.8.1, with theme “TT1 Blocks” full site editing theme introduced by www.ads-software.com. Gutenberg plugin version 11.5.0

    Let create a new page, type some text as paragraph, Try to select some text within the paragraph using shift + click, it get selected.

    Now create a group block, type some text inside the group block as paragraph, now try again to select some text in that para using shift + click. Its not get selected and also now you even not able to select the text in above paragraph which is out of that group block. So it simply just get disabled if you do once the shift + click inside a group block.
