CTRL Delete no longer works in Gutenberg editor

CTRL Delete (a shortcut to delete whole words rather than individual characters) no longer works in Gutenberg Editor. It works on other applications on my computer and it used to work in Gutenberg but has suddenly stopped. Does anyone know how to fix this? It’s incredibly irritating.
