    Hi,

Is there a way I can search for strings in the editor, other than using ctrl + f?
Right now this doesn’t really work unless the code is on the visible screen.

    Thanks in advance!
    Carina

    Hello Carina,

if the editor isn’t select and you click Ctrl + F, then it the browser’s search field opens and you can search only in the visible screen.

If the editor is selected and you click Ctrl + F, then the editor’s search field opens and you can search within all the available custom code, not only in the visible screen. See this screencast.

Hi Diana, thank you so much for replying so fast! ??

Well, that’s what I’ve been doing and it used to work perfectly, I don’t know why it doesn’t anymore… and it’s been bugging me for a while.

I guess it might be due to any other plugin I’m using or so :/

I’ll do some tests and see if I find out the culprit.

    Thanks again!

    Hi,

Just found out which plugin is causing the issue: it’s Essential Grid (latest version).

If deactivated, the search works as you say.

    Well, now you know ??
