Ctrl+X cuts the entire block, not selected text

This is a very useful plugin extension. However, there is a bug that makes using it a bit impractical. When I select text/code inside the block and hit Ctrl+X to cut the text to the clipboard area, the entire block gets cut – not the selected text/code.

Note, however, that Ctrl+C for copying works well.
