Cube portfolio page freezes

  • Hi, I’m experiencing an issue after updating wordpress to its newest version where i cant open the cube portfolio for editing in any form. The page just freezes and i have to quit or close the tab every time.
    Everything us updated, yet i cant access cube portfolio. even if i go and edit the page in frontend editor and click on the portfolio it just doesn’t show up.

    Any ideas what Im doing wrong?

  • Same here, I started my investigations and triggered some of the AJAX requests (like action:listPortfolios) manually, the where all fine and responded within seconds, so it must be on the client-js side. Since the file main.min-1.16.2.js is minified it is hard to debug. I don’t get an acutal error on the js console but still I am convinced the problem must be in the client-js part.

    WordPress updated their jQuery to new version and Cube Portfolio doesn’t work with that version.

    For a TEMPORARY fix, you can install “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” plugin, then go into Tools > jQuery Migrate and set “jQuery Version” to “Legacy 1.12.4-wp”. Be sure to check your website’s frontend so nothing else is broken. I don’t know what kind of security vulnerabilities this poses so be aware.

    Eventually, you’ll need a permanent solution such as an alternative to Cube Portfolio if they don’t update their jQuery version.
