Cumulative Layout Shift

  • So I’m using Twenty Seventeen theme on several websites, including one with a child theme where I insert ads in the site-branding section.

    All websites have issues with “Cumulative Layout Shift” (CLS) in Google Pagespeed, and when the websites load I can clearly see the header move are the page is rendered, but it’s worse with the child theme as I insert the ad.

    After trying to play with the code in Google Chrome, I can see it’s related to some settings in custom-header and site-branding sections, but I’m unable to pinpoint the exact part that generates the CLS issue. If anybody has a suggestion to solve the issue it would be welcome.
