    Hi,
I am facing a problem when I want to send emails with mailpoet. It worked quite well for a long period (some years) but today the sending did not work. I received this error message: cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: https://www.werner-held.de In the FAQs and in the support forum I found not a lot of information on the topic. That is why I ask now here.

In the first place, I asked the hoster, but he could not help. (see later in the description of the bug.) I also add the system information at the end of the document. I deactivated all plugins, but that did not change nothing.

I wrote to the hoster: Since today we have received this error message from Mailpoet when sending the newsletter: cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: https://www.werner-held.de This could affect the DNS settings. However, we haven’t changed anything. Can you please tell us how to fix the error?

    The hoster answered:
Unfortunately, I can’t see any errors in the DNS of the domain “werner-held.de”. This as well as the subdomain www. are resolved without errors. I would therefore like to recommend that you contact the manufacturer of the plugin if necessary.

    The system information says:

The site owner say, that he produced (by mistake) mails without end in a kind of loop. He thinks, that eventually that might be the reasen why the domain is considered to be spamy. Could that be a possible reason? If so, what can I do to mar the domain as “not spamy”?

    Thanks

    Hey there!

Thanks for contacting MailPoet, happy to help.

In the first place, I asked the hoster, but he could not help. (see later in the description of the bug.) I also add the system information at the end of the document. I deactivated all plugins, but that did not change nothing.

cURL error 6 mainly occurs when the given remote host does not resolve properly. Also, it is related to the DNS, and we fix this error by resolving the DNS.

This is 100% a hosting issue, and not one that we have any insight into or can assist with, unfortunately.

    Hi there @rabox66,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

Yes, you can close it. The problem disappeared without any further activities. Strange but true… ??

    Thanks!
