I am getting the following error:

Sorry, there was a YouTube API error: cURL error 7: Failed to connect to 2404:6800:400a:80a::200a: Network is unreachable Please make sure you performed the steps in this video to create and save a proper server API key.

I know the API key works since I am using it on another page as well. I am concerned that the service tries to call an IPv6 address. The hoster in question is not the most technically advanced. Is there any way to test IPv4? Or could there be another reason for this to fail?

That’s an underlying server issue. We suggest asking the server host company for support with properly configuring IPV6. Another workaround is to put this plugin in your plugins directory: https://gist.github.com/golderweb/3a2aaec2d56125cc004e It’s a single php file plugin that might help force IPv4.

    Good luck!

Hi there, thanks for the support. I installed the plugin but it does not seem resolve the issue. I will see if the hosting company can fix that.

We hope it goes well with the hosting company as it’s not something that can be done on this plugin’s side.
