cURL error 77 (Failed Installation)

    Good afternoon!

    For almost a month, since August 30th, I’ve been having issues to install a new version of WordPress. It accuses “cURL error 77” – and the same error is appearing when updating plugins, with an aggravation that the update.php file errors on lines 172, 410 and 690, with “WordPress could not establish secure connection to www.ads-software.com”.

    I am in contact with the Hosting (UOLHost), but, according to them, they did all they could at the moment. I don’t want to lose all my work because of problems with command lines that I don’t understand.

    What else can I do? I hate that I need to use a forum when WordPress should have a direct line to address these types of issues. I’m truly tired of it already.
