cURL problem: Error Processing Request: failed creating formpost data

  • Hi,

    I installed WPB2D today and authorised the link to Dropbox with no problems.

    When I run a manual backup, it starts to create the folders in the Dropbox but when it tries to copy files across it repeatedly runs into this problem:

    14:56:42: A fatal error occured: The backup is having trouble uploading files to Dropbox, it has failed 10 times and is aborting the backup.
    14:56:42: Error uploading ‘/WWWROOT/#####/htdocs/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/content.php’ to Dropbox: Error Processing Request: failed creating formpost data

    From googling it seems like this is a cURL error but I don’t know how to fix it.

    I’m using WordPress 3.5.1, PHP 5.2.17 and cURL is installed.

    Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Gday Mel,

    This is a new issue that I have not seen before.

    It looks like you are using a Linux server wich is good, do you know if that path is a symbolic link?

    No sorry I don’t even know what that means, does it help if I can tell you the folder structure I can see in ftp?

    Gday Mel,

    What you can see in FTP is not necessarily how the the file system hangs together and FTP is too abstract too see what is going on.

    SymLinks is just a guess so I will have to have a play on my dev boxes to see if they are actually the cause.
