Currency/Checkout Country Switch

  • @diegootgs I have a feature request very urgently. I am ready to pay for that as well.

    So rn when you switch country in checkout it automatically switches currency and prices. that’s very usable. I need reverse functionality as well. when you switch currency with currency switcher widget it switches country in checkout as well.
    Imagine I am customer I come to website with vpn so woocommerce geolocation shows me default currency not my currency i want to see prices in my currency (for example: SAR) not in default currency (for example: AED) I click currency switcher and select SAR it switches checkout country to Saudi Arabia.

    Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. However, this is a design decision. Let’s imagine the same scenario you proposed:

    • Imagine a customer come to a website with VPN so WooCommerce geolocation shows the default currency.
    • Costume wants to see prices in a secondary currency (for example: SAR) not in default currency (for example: AED).
    • The costumer changes his currency to SAR, it switches the checkout country to Saudi Arabia. So far so good.
    • However, he wants to set another country in the checkout. Once he changes it, the currency will change again.

    this is our main point, we want Saudi customer pays in SAR, Kuwaiti customer pays in KWD Qatari customer pays in QAR, and others pay in AED

    I’m afraid that’s not possible automatically so far. However, you can add a currency switcher in the checkout page. In that way, the costumer can set his currency accordingly.
