Currency set to ￡ but $ sign showing throughout shop and cart

Hi
I have Woocommerce running and currency is set as GBP/￡ – sign, but the [US}$-sign is shown throughout the site. This is on product pages and cart/shipping cost etc.

I have this set in Woo settings, but no go. Any help would be invaluable. My thanks
