Im using your woocommerce plugin in mysterythemes/easystore which does not support my local currency: Iran Rial/Toman. I guess I have to live with that and will find an alternative payment method. However, I need a workaround for the Price field which is set to $ as default. So when I enter 85,000 in the field it appears as $85,000. How can I change the “$” to “Toman”. There has to be a code/function field where you can change the default from “$” to something else. This is essential, otherwise my whole investment in woocommerce package becomes worthless.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @wavedocfarid,

When you go to WooCommerce → Settings and scroll down to the currency options, you should be able to see a dropdown to change your currency. If you search for “Iran” in the dropdown, you will find both the rial and toman options:

Let us know how it goes.
    Thanks.

I cannot find the drop-down menu you are talking about. Please be more specific. When I click on woocommerce settings a tap “multi-currency” appears. After clicking another button “enable currencies” appears and says finish setting up WooCommerce Payments. it then shows options for credit card payments. and only shows countries: `???? Australia
    ???? Austria (Preview)
    ???? Belgium (Preview)
    ???? Canada
    ???? France
    ???? Germany
    ???? Hong Kong (Preview)
    ???? Ireland
    ???? Italy
    ???? Netherlands (Preview)
    ???? New Zealand
    ???? Poland (Preview)
    ???? Portugal (Preview)
    ???? Singapore (Preview)
    ???? Spain
    ???? Switzerland (Preview)
    ???? United Kingdom
    ???? United States`

where woocommerce is supported. What if i dont want to use paypal or other credit cards and just need the currency default changed.
Please direct me step-by-step how you got to the drop-down menu for Iran rial/toman. Are there different woocommerce plugins that I need to use? If you proceed with woocommerce payments, then it wants business entity and Employer Identification Number (EIN).

    Hi @wavedocfarid,

    Apologies for the delay here.

Thanks for the detailed reply. It seems you went to the WooCommerce → Settings → Payments page, and that’s likely where you’ve come across the WooCommerce Payments configuration steps.
Note that WooCommerce Payments is a separate plugin, it’s not part of WooCommerce core. Thus, its supported currencies are much less than the currencies available on WooCommerce core.

Please direct me step-by-step how you got to the drop-down menu for Iran rial/toman.

To change your WooCommerce store currency, I would recommend:
    * Going to WooCommerce → Settings. This will take you to the General settings page.
    * On the general settings page, scroll down and you’ll find a section called “Currency options
    * You should find the above-shared dropdown in this section and if you search for “Iran”, you’ll find rial and toman options.

After clicking another button “enable currencies” appears and says finish setting up WooCommerce Payments. it then shows options for credit card payments. and only shows countries:

Just to loop back to the WooCommerce Payments extension configuration, you can follow the steps in this guide to get started – https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-payments/.
Remember, WooCommerce Payments is a separate plugin all together and it can only be used in a limited number of its supported countries. If you’re not in a supported country, you could disable the WooCommerce Payments plugin from WP-Admin → Plugins.

I recommend https://snipboard.io for sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in this chat. It works with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

Hope this helps, we’ll be happy to be of further assistance.
    Many thanks.
