Currency Switcher not showing in Cart and Checkout Page

Hello @nurinadickie,

If you have successfully added your currency switcher as a widget, it shouldn’t disappear from one page to another.

However, this situation may be related to your theme and how it handles widgets. If you add a regular widget in the same location, let’s say a text one, it also disappears when going to the cart or checkout?

Also, have you added any restriction to display currencies accordingly to the location?

Finally, are you also using WPML in your installation?

to answer your questions:

I have tried other widgets and they continue to show on cart and checkout, it only affects the currency switcher.

Where would I check if I have any displaying conditions set that would affect the currency switcher not showing in Cart and Checkout?

I don’t use the Multilanguage function, I use the free version of this plugin for switching currencies only.

I have checked everywhere to see if I can adapt settings for this issue to resolve but no luck so far. Any other support is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the confirmation, Nurina. Let’s try the following:

1. What happens if you add the currency switcher in another position, for example the footer?
2. What if you add it using some PHP code as explained in our documentation?
3. For answering your question, I was referring to the settings in WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Multicurrency, could you add a screenshot of this section?

Thank you again Andres, I have tried all options. The currency switcher in footer also disappears on checkout page. I have tried following the PHP code and it didn’t work but I’m not sure I did this correctly.

That’s a odd.

1. Could you try to uncheck the “Show only products with custom prices in secondary currencies” checkbox?
2. Also, it could be either the theme, plugin or a combination of both. Therefore can you do the following: check if this issue appears in your test site when:

• Only WooCommerce and WCML are activated, as it will tell us if there is an interaction issue with other plugin.
• Theme is set to a WordPress default like Twenty Nineteen as it will tell us if there is an interaction issue with your theme.
• If you don’t see the issue happening in the above scenario, can you try to determine whether this is a theme or a plugin issue?
• If you find a culprit, let me know so that we can test this in a minimal environment and escalate to compatibility team if required.
