Is there a possibility to set the query for the product list to the current category? I’d like to create an product category archive with the product list widget

    Hi there,

You can set within our Product list Query > Additional Params to Taxonomy Slug and choose Taxonomy to display either Product category, tag or type.
    Like in this screenshot here.

We hope this helped and let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Hi,

I have the same problem and the link to the screenshot opens an image that no longer exists.

Can you help me with the possible solution?

    Thanks and good work,

yes, I can set a specific category slug, but I need the CURRENT category because the widget is implemented in a product category archive template

    Hi,

Unfortunately this is not a feature of Product List widget. Category (taxonomy) slug needs to be entered manually. This can be done in Product List > Query tab by setting Additional Params to “Taxonomy Slug” (please see screenshot).

Oh, that’s pity. Then I can’t use this widget for my template. Thank you.

This would require setting category slug dynamically inside the Product List widget based on the page where it is added and this is unfortunately not a feature of this widget. Category slug needs to be entered manually.

If we can assist you with anything else please let us know.

I think you should fix this bug asap so we can use the product archive template

    Hi there,

Archive pages are generated by default in WordPress, however if you wish to use the product list to showcase your products, then you can enter the category slug manually since what you are asking for is unfortunately not a feature of this widget.

Thanks for understanding and we will for sure pass your suggestion to our team for consideration.

Hello, I agree with @iarkgr – this feature should be add / bug should be fixed. I also tried use this widget (I am Pro version customer) with Archive Page or Search Page Elementor template with no luck.

    Hi there,

As we already mentioned above, archive pages are generated by default in WordPress and they have limited customization.

We have certainly forwarded your suggestions to our dev team and they will see if something can be done about it.
