current state menu outside post-page (index.php)

Hi,

I’ve been trying to get the post-parent ‘active’ status of my menu arranged.
The problem is that on every post level the blog(home)-page switches to active (where the index.php is shown). Also the posts which are in three categories who are excluded from the blog(home)-page.

I think that the solution must be in making categories parent. So is it possible to make the three categories parent so I can highlight my menu accordingly?
