I have a Google map on a page and its almost as wide as the page.
In Google Map settings I have chosen a Map Height.
First when the page is shown, the map height is probably correct.

But if I then change page width, map width changes which is ok.
But map height also changes leaving a large blank area below the map.
So it does not use the map height which I have specified in settings.

This page width change could happen when rotating a mobile device from landscape to portrait orientation. Or if you just change web browser window size in PC.
Maybe in some situations current behaviour (when map width changes, also change map height to keep map proportions the same) is what is needed. But in some cases it would be better to keep same map height no matter how wide the map is. Both cases would be possible if we had a boolean setting: Preserve map proptions (or something). If checked, it would work like now. If not checked, it would use the map height in settings no matter how wide the map is.

Huge-IT: could you add such setting?
