    Hi Sybre,

    I have again a small question.
    We have added our SEO Framework sitemap to search console.
    With multiple sites I get two values on coverage:
    Discovered – currently not indexed and Crawled – currently not indexed
    When I checked google documentation on this it just says two line with not much information to go to.

    With one site even the home url is excluded. Any idea how I can get these url’s to index? There is no “noindex” on these pages.

    Thanks for your time and info again!

  • Hello, the amount of “indexing problems” support tickets is now above the margin of error and I noticed them also outside of WordPress, I wrote down couple of examples here.

    As of now, nothing indicates it is TSF specific problem, though I am not discounting the possibility. I made a small new website on a parked domain using WordPress and TSF just about a week ago and have the same problems as you (Albeit slightly different conditions). In my case, everything is set to be indexed, but only 2 pages from a total of 8 are indexed.

    I suspect this is a Google thing.

    With multiple sites I get two values on coverage

    Are those new websites on new domains? Any of them use WooCommerce? If you want, please provide as much info as you are comfortable with (0 is fine). My email is lebaux @ url of the seo framework website.

    Sidenote, Sybre is aware of the issue, I am just taking care of the replies, if we find out what is up, I will let you know here.

    Sorry for the issues, I am having them myself.
    Pierre.

    Hi @lebaux,

    Thanks for your reply. I asked about this in another discord and some users are having the same issues.

    It seems to be related to the february google update: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-says-discovered-currently-not-indexed-status-can-last-forever/439104/
    They say here: This is stated during the Google Search Central SEO office-hours hangout recorded on February 18.

    The site has it homepage indexed now so that is okay. It was an already used domain so not “new”. No woocommerce on this one.

    The other one is a not “new” domain with woocommerce. Here the story is different. Here we have the following:
    – Indexed, not submitted in sitemap -> 434 pages
    – Submitted and indexed -> 312 pages
    – Crawled – currently not indexed -> 3,703 pages
    – Discovered – currently not indexed -> 360 pages

    some pages are from the old site but most of them are new products. Even after some weeks these products don’t get indexed.

    Let me know if you want more information. Happy to help find a solution to this. If there is any.

    Dieter

    Hi Dieter,

    Since we do not work for Google, nor do they tell anyone how their search engine works precisely, we must rely on the steps they provided here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7474347.

    Please perform those steps to learn what hampers Google’s ability to crawl your pages.

    I’m afraid we cannot help you further without a link to your site. For instance, without it, we cannot determine if you have correctly interlinked pages, nor if there’s a blocker on your site that impedes Google’s ability to discover and crawl your pages.

    With all that said, you are not alone in facing this issue. See https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/uonilj/google_taking_longer_to_index_than_usual/.
