  • Please switch to the default theme Twenty Fifteen temporarily and check if it works than. If so, the problem is caused by your theme.

If not, please keep Twenty Fifteen active and deactivate all plugins you are using. It must work than. Reactivate the plugins one by one and test after each to find out which plugin causes the problem.

    Kindly keep me informed.

    Hi Peter
Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, my site is built around a bunch of custom post types, so I don’t want to switch the theme and risk losing anything.

I will test the plugins out though, with my current theme, and let you know.

    Thanks
    Simon

    Any news?

    Hey Peter
Sorry, this dropped off my radar. I tested out the plugins with no luck, but I have just checked back on the issue and it does seem to have been an issue related to the theme and plugin combo which I have overcome now.

The theme I’m using makes use of sections (as a post type), which can be categorised and then the page pulls in the selected sections. Directly adding the content into the page rather than into a section post appears to have fixed the issue.

    Thanks for following up.

    Hi Simon,

is it a free theme you are using? Would be interesting for me to take a look a at it because maybe other themes work similar and it would be an asset to get it work that way too.

But I’m glad it works for you now!

I would appreciate it if you woukd rate the plugin.

    Hi Peter
It was using a paid theme – Flat from Themify. Although I believe the newer versions of this theme no longer use “sections” in the way I previously described.

    Cheers
    Simon
