    Hi, I’m having trouble trying to show my custom 404 page.
    I’m using the twenty-twelve theme, which has a 404.php file in it.
    If I make a bad call (/?cat=4343 which shouldn’t exists) it shows an empty blog page.
    When I remove get_header() from 404.php, it loads correctly but unthemed.
    If I call for a specific file which doesn’t exists (/xxxx.php) it returns the Apache’s 404 error page.
    What am I missing?
    Thank you!

    Well I fixed the specific file call with the appropiate .htaccess configuration, which I was not doing correctly because my wordpress is not in the root.
    Still struggling with the get_header() issue.

    ok I found it, it was a dumb error.
    My font color was the same as the background color ??’
    All fine now;
    Thanks
