Looking for feedback on my 404 page. I tried to make it easier to get the viewer on the right track. I have an explanation of what the page is, a search form, a tag “storm”(there is a lot of them), and then a contact form in the event they still can’t find what they are looking for.

Is this too much? can you point me to a 404 page that is very effective in converting these misdirected users to where they want to go?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hiya,

The page is creative. I like the idea of the Search and Tags.

However, it won’t hurt to reduce the number of tags. Since there are so many tags, it not only looks ugly, but no visitor will go through all the tags and it makes the footer invisible since no one will scroll all the way down.

You can find an useful article on creating creative 404 page here.

    Hope this helped ??

Good information. I already have a “tagstorm” page. I might just link to it to give them an option of searching through the tags. that would certainly unclutter.

    thanks for the article.
