On my site I set the accent color and it works on buttons and the majority of links, but not for links in some of the widgets.

For instance if I use a custom menu widget on the sidebar the links are still the default greenish color. I also see it happen in the Jetpack subscribe widget.

Any one have a suggestion for a work around? I can’t seem to find where the accent color might be hardcoded in the theme since it doesn’t happen for every widget. The recent posts and text widgets both respect my custom accent color.

  • Since you are using Jetpack, it allows you add your own css file(css editor).
When I faced similar issue, I loaded the page used firebug and created custom css selector for the particular widget and hard-coded my color.

Ah, duh, I always forget about that option with Jetpack. That was an easy fix. ??

    Hi ThatChris,

Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for the bug report. I’ve included a fix for the missing accent color in .widget_links in the next update.

No worries! Jetpack’s custom CSS module made it easy to do a temporary fix on my end. ??

I’m not sure if the update has gone through or yet, but I’m still finding that changes in the accent color is not reflected in widget links.

I’m also finding the change in accept color isn’t reflected in the color used when you highlight text with the cursor. I didn’t actually realize the accent color was reflected there (and I only find it works in Chrome – not in Firefox), but it still highlights with the typical greenish color even though I’ve changed the accent color.

    Thanks for any help.
