Custom alert before submission

Hello there,

Could you please let me know if there’s a way to alert the user (a ‘soft’ validation), ideally using JS, before a form being submitted? I would like it to display a Yes/No or OK/Cancel message to alert the user that they are about to make a mistake, but still let them submit the form if they decide to go ahead. I cannot use the ‘acf-validate_value’ hook as it prevents the submission completely. Could you suggest a workaround so it lets the user go ahead even if the value is not right?
