    Hi,

    I have an elaborate product description that is created with Elementor and inserted as a template. So the product description field contains the something like “[elementor-template id=”14519″]”.
    Because of this, the product description is empty in the product feed.

    I, therefore, created a custom attribute called “feeddescription” that contains the product description in plain text.

    I then updated the mapping of “g:description” to the field “Feeddescription (Custom Attribute).
    This is the relevant code in the debug.log file

    [2] => Array
                            (
                                [rowCount] => 2
                                [attribute] => g:description
                                [prefix] =>
                                [mapfrom] => custom_attributes_feeddescription
                                [suffix] =>
                            )

    When I manually refresh the feed and download the csv file to view, I get no update. It doesn’t show the new values. As if it doesn’t create a new feed.

    What is my best option to troubleshoot or is there in general an issues with mapping custom attributes?

    Best Regards,
    Edward

    Update: I just bit the bullet and tried it out on my live site. On my live site, it works.
    I use WP-Staging to create a staging site for testing. Maybe this is worth pointing out in the FAQ that a staging installation might not work correctly.
