Custom Attributes not showing on orders

We have created custom attributes for “S, M, L, XL, XXL”. You have to choose a color first, then the sizes show. Then you can choose sizes.
The sizes show until you checkout. Then they disappear and they also do not show or display in the order. We are hoping they show in the orders.
