Custom Breakpoint does not work after update

Hi, folks. I’ve used the custom breakpoint snippet you’ve got listed here:

It has been working well until one of the recent updates (sorry, I don’t know which one…it was during the last week that it stopped working). Now it seems to be back as it was before. Can you tell me what might have changed to make this function stop working? I’m using a child theme, so it was not overwritten by the update.

My guess is that something broke the connection. I’m just not even sure what to start with and I’m a little short on time for analyzing all of the code. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
