Custom building products with Woo

We are in a discovery phase on building a site that will use WooCommerce for eCommerce.

The site sells three different parts individually, but also would like for the customer to custom build an order. Think golf clubs — they would sell the grips, shaft and club heads individually. But, they want the online user to select all 3 options to build a golf club that is perfect and custom for them.

It’s the customizing the combined parts on the order that has me confused on how to tackle it — let alone generating a dynamic preview image.

Is this possible with Woo and some plugins? If not, what kind of custom development should happen to make this a reality? (ex: just a custom product page that does all of that stuff dynamically and in turn generates a checkout with all parts with an assembly fee of sorts?)
