Custom Button on Visual Editor – WP 3.1

Hello,

Anyone have an idea on how to add a custom button to the VISUAL mode editor? I would like to add a series of buttons that can quickly add shortcodes to the editor, rather than typing them. Some of them are fairly long.

Also it would be amazing if I could dynamically generate editor buttons that would add shortcode based on custom field names. Thanks!
