Custom Cat Archives, Post Per Page Pagination Not Listing the Next Set Of Posts

I’ve created a custom archives page, and have it set to only show a certain catID. I also set a limit of 5 posts per page. My problem is the pagination shows both Next and Previous, there shouldn’t be a Next button because it’s the first page. On top of that, when you do click on the Previous button, it takes you to the 6th posts’ single post page.

What I’m trying to do is, when you click on the pagination of the Archives page, I would like to to show the next 5 posts, and so on, and so on.

I’ve tried numerous solutions and none of them work. WordPress is not my expertise, so I’m looking for some help.
