• Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible (through a plugin or function or something like that) to create a custom color picker. So that a writer on the site can choose from a set of colors that I defined, so that they won’t be able to pick a color that clashes with the theme.
    Any tips are welcome!

    thanks!

  • Look for one from here, download install and try. Sorry, I have not used any one of them and hence cannot recommend any.

hi, thanks, I am looking into this (quite an extensive list…)
but so far, none is doing what I am looking for.
These give other types of color pickers (that give more options instead of a predefined set of colors like I want…)
or they are color pickers for the way the admin css looks and stuff like that…

What I am looking for (and maybe it is there, further down the list), is a way to give peple who put articles on the site the choice between like 5 or 6 colors to use on a text, without giving them the option to pick like dayglo green, or a slightly different blue that clashes with the design of the theme…

I am sorry but if nothing therein suits you, you need to create a customized one to suit your needs.

    yes, I would if I could….
But I am a graphic designer, not a programmer… I know just enough about php to implement some stuff others wrote and sometimes edit it a bit. Writing stuff from scratch is waaaay beyond me. (respect to those who can!)

Anyway thanks for looking into this.
