With WP 6.3 and WC 8.0.2 using the Twenty Twenty Three (TT3) theme, custom colors set via Appearance > Editor > Styles > Edit Styles > Colors > Palette > 17 colors > Theme > Show Details are not used by WooCommerce for the color and background CSS settings.

In particular, I noticed this on a single product page for ul.wc-tabs li a, ul.wc-tabs li.active, and .woocommerce span.onsale. These are the “Additional Information” and “Reviews” tabs and the “Sale” span tag on the product image, respectively.

To reproduce the issue, just change the tertiary and contrast colors in the Editor as described above, save your changes, and view a single product page that has a sale price and either additional information or reviews so those tabs are displayed.

I expected the custom colors for the tertiary and contrast colors to be used; however, WooCommerce uses the default colors instead of the custom ones I set globally.

While I may be overlooking something, I think this represents a bug in WooCommerce handling of the CSS, but I’m not sure, so I didn’t go straight to GitHub and report it.

Can anyone confirm that it is in fact a bug?

  • Hi there @linux4me2 ??

Thank you for contacting Woo support!

Can anyone confirm that it is in fact a bug?

Thank you for your patience! We are experiencing an unusually high volume of support requests at the moment, and that has affected our response times.

I went ahead with testing this on my site, with the exact same set-up as the one you’re describing. Below is a screenshot, for reference:

I was not able to reproduce the issue you are describing, as upon refreshing the product page, I was able to see the colors I entered in Styles:

I hope this is helpful! Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Thanks @anastas10s, it must be something else in my setup. I will mark this as resolved, as it doesn’t appear to be a bug, and post back if I find a fix.

Sounds good. We’ll be here if you need us!
