Custom Comments page

  • Hi all,

    I’m trying to make a popup comment page outside of wordpress.

    I have .htaccess to call archives/(post)/comments as pop-comments.php?p=$1&comments_popup=$1

    It loads, but it doesnt recognize the comments.

    Go here to see what i mean.

    my comment popup is copied from the original default theme popup comments. what am i doing wrong?

    i’m fed up with it and i’m planning to start anew – where can i find a way to create my own comments page from scratch? (i’ve tried looking but i have no luck)

  • For some reason, I’m getting this following error message.. =/

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: comments_popup_script() in /Library/WebServer/Documents/john/head-info.php on line 17

    Check your theme’s head-info.php file once. Can you place a copy of that file here, and put the link to it back here please? Choose PHP as the content type.

    That’s the file structure on my mac server.

    Try again – i got that error fixed but the comments are still unregcognized.
