Custom content and wide width for specific template?

It seems like I can define certain things in a FSE HTML template file by adding stuff in brackets.

Hi @audunmb I am not quite sure what you mean by this, are you able to give an example of the stuff you are adding to brackets?

While I would have defaults for blog posts and most pages, I could have wider content on landing pages.

You can edit the templates you will be adding to the landing pages to your liking, you can then assign these templates to your preferred pages.

@thelmachido thanks for trying to help. Templates are stored as HTML-files. By adding stuff in brackets in that HTML-file you can add more customisations to the template. I’m asking how this works as it poorly documented.

Are you perhaps referring to the theme.json file rather than the HTML template files?

@zoonini no, I refer to templates not theme.json. And I’m asking if there’s any documentation on what kind of customisations can be added to templates?

Heya @audunmb – templates are meant to be edited in the Site Editor, not by editing the HTML files manually. (In fact, if you edit the template files manually, you’ll lose your changes every time the theme releases an update.)

@zoonini If I add templates to a child theme, they are included as a html template, which is why I want to edit them manually.
