Custom Content at the front Page

Hi Oxygen Creators and the rest,

I am thanking you for the great theme.

I was playing around with the front page and was only able to have posts at the front page.
I would like to have custom content instead of posts at the primary post location.

So where you have recent post and more articles I would like be able to add page content.
Otherwise simply is it possible to use the slider on the default page set up.?
Hope it is clear and otherwise can I use the use the slider on a page if so how to.?
