    Hi there,

I have some custom CSS code for my Mailchimp embedded form. Is it more efficient for page speed to add it as internal code, or external code? Right now, the linking type is internal, but it is working fine. The problem is, I am having some issues with Google Pagespeed Insights. I was wondering if I switched to external if it would speed up my site.

    Thanks.

    Hello Dylan,

the advantage of an externally linked CSS is that it will be cached by the browser and, when opening another page on the same website, the CSS rules will not have to be loaded again.

If your Mailchimp form shows up only on one page, I’d recommend to link the CSS custom code internally. If the Mailchimp form shows up on all the website’s pages, then better switch to externally linked.
