Custom CSS not working

Hi,
When you attempt to put custom CSS in the styler editor (not the site wide css from the Divi theme options) you get incorrect errors such as ‘missing right bracket’, ‘missing left bracket.’
Another issue is when you put a button on the form and style it to have icon. The icon is not shown.
