Custom CSS only for my sidebar menu

Hello,
I am a total noob.
I have changed the appearance of the sidebar menu with the following code:

.widget_pages > ul li, .widget ul.menu li {
font-size: 13px;
list-style: disc;
}

However, this also changes the menu in the footer (which only contains the privacy policy). I have tried different approaches but no matter what I type in before the curly braces, it either works for both or for none.
