Custom date return publish date in ACF

  • in frontend the user can set a custom date (event_start_date)
    with format: DD, dMM, yy – DD, d MM, yy

    in backend i use Advanced Custom Field, setting up the same variable (event_start_date)
    with format: l, d F Y

    but instead of the custom value it returns the post publish date

    i don’t understand if the problem it’s ACF or FPS

    any idea? thanks
