Honestly, fixing the template is beyond my scope. Is there some way of obtaining the results using CSS?

The problem is that you’ve fundamentally changed quite a few portions of the default view. My plugin’s designed to work with the default view. Because your modifications have altered the base plugin’s ability to add it’s default classes to the event title, coloring with this plugin may prove difficult. Sorry.

Hmm ok, wouldn’t it be possible to provide some kind of function to return a value within your plugin? i.e get_teccc_bg_color($post_id) or something? i think that could solve many problems for those wishing to drastically change the template options?

Ryan, I think the best solution here might be for you to fork the code on GitHub and incorporate your modifications in your fork. While it’s unlikely that I’ll accept a pull request for personalized modifications, I’m more than happy for others to hack at the code.
