Custom Domain on Multisite… being forwarded

  • Hello. I am on the latest version of WP.

    I am hosting a website on MS Azure.

    I setup DNS entries (both A record and CNAME) to point to my Azure website.

    Problems/Comments:
    1) going to my domain.com is redirecting (302) to my azure site.
    2) looking at the wp_domain_mapping (and _logins) is showing empty
    3) even though I have multi-site setup, I have not added any other sites right now.

    what am I missing?

    Sorry, I have no experience with Azure.

    This has everything to do with the way WP was initially setup during installation. If you install from site1.com and then later try to map custom-doman.com to site.com, the plug-in does not remedy that.
