• Hi guys.

I’m trying to create a job submission form that will send a submission to an email address obtained from the job advert that was applied to.

Basically user clicks on apply for job and is redirected to a form that is pre populated with their profile info and cv. What I’m trying to do is make sure the form submit mailto is directed at the specific job advert they applied to so they don’t have to copy and paste.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Some of the forms plugins have this feature of specifying where the email is sent based on a dropdown or other selection.

Did you search thru the forms plugins? There are several different ones and you’ll want to look at all the different options and see what best fits your purpose.

    Hi Janet.

Thank you for the quick response. Ive had a look at plugins and decided that I really wanted to create a more personalised submission form for my users without having to try bending two plugins to my will.

The email address is stored and supplied using WP Job Manager which is a fantastic plugin. Ive made the custom submission form that populates all the info I’m after and works exactly how I want it. The only thing I cant figure out is how to take the email address supplied in the specific job listing and insert it into my form mailto using a redirect link. If I use a plugin I then have to force the plugin do what I want which I think would be harder if you understand me unless there is a plugin out there that only does this one specific function. Sorry if I’m not making sense.

Check for the WP Job Manager site to see if they have support/forums available.

That would be your best option.

Sorry, I thought you were just in the planning stages… didn’t realize you had taken it so far already ??
