  • Hey Mdurchholz,

You can find the error messages in this file mailchimp/mailchimp.php

Just search for the error message and replace the wording with the one you want. I had to do it this way in order to get a proper spanish translation of the error message.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks

    Hey all,

Thanks for posting. Editing the PO files should allow you to control the copy associated with the majority of errors that come with the signup form. So that we can further investigate, can you confirm for us the specific error message(s) you’re looking to translate?

Can you also confirm which specific PO file you edited, and if you generated a corresponding updated MO file after you made the translations? A program like Poedit should generate a MO file on-save, and you’ll want to ensure that you update BOTH of those files on your host. Additionally, what’s the name of your MO and PO files, and can you confirm what’s set for your ‘WPLANG’ in your wp-config.php file?
