    Hi there,

I’ve been searching through the Forum and Google, unfortunately, I can’t find an answer.

We set up 2 different newsletter: One for our French website and another one for our English part of the same website.

Now, actually my question is 2 fold:

Is is possible to set up a Signup Confirmation per form? (Or is it something that will be available eventually?). So that people that sign up to our French newsletter get a confirmation in French and English customers get a confirmation in English.

Can we customize the error message that pops up when someone enters an invalid email? It shows up in French in both forms and I can’t seem to track down where this can be corrected.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

    1. Unfortunately there is no way to have more than 1 confirmation message. However, this is in the plans for the next version of MailPoet.

    2. You can edit that message by editing the translation files within MailPoet (via Transifex). Unfortunately we can’t really offer support for this for free users, as it is quite time consuming.

    Thanks for the follow up.

So we have to purchase this: https://www.transifex.com/ in order to translate Mailpoet error messages?

There’s no way to do it through WPML?

    Thanks

    Hi again,

Is it possible to have a timeframe as to when this new Mailpoet update will be available?

    Thanks!

No, you don’t need to buy Transifex for that hehe. What we are saying is that you can open the translation files and change the text right there.

They are located in the folder: /public_html/your-website/wp-content/plugins/wysija-newsletters/languages/

You can use PoEdit to do that: https://make.www.ads-software.com/polyglots/handbook/tools/poedit/

About MailPoet 3, read more here: https://www.mailpoet.com/an-update-on-mailpoet-3/

Great news. We’ll be able to adapt the error message then. Although my only question at this point is: Will my changes be erased when you guys release the new version of Mailpoet?

Speaking of which, do you guys have any idea when the new version with multiple confirmation page will be available?

It’s just to have an idea of a timetable as we’re kind of between a rock and a hard place now.

    Thanks.

    Hi again,

We’re in a time crunch here and considering using something else.

Can you PLEASE tell us if have an approximate delivery for the new Mailpoet update?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

I wanted to translate the form error content from french to english. The one that should say in English “required field” but I can’t find where it is doable. I tried the solution you offered in your first response but the .po file from wp-content/plugins/wysija-newsletters/languages/ dit not contain those fieds.
    What can I do?

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Emilie
