    Hi,

First thanks for your work. It’s the second GDPR plugin I’m trying and it seems almost perfect ??

I’m using Google Tag Manager and trying to have a banner with categories (Functional, Analytics and Marketing). I read some part of your documentation and some topics on this support forum but I’m still stuck. I’m probably doing something wrong but:

    1. In WP admin, in Cookie banner > Consent (I’m translating from my French menu, hope it’s correct), I set Full + categories and add “Statistics” in Tag Manager custom categories. The preview is OK but the banner doesn’t change on website (I tried to clear cache, etc.)

    2. In Google Tag Manager, I tried setting up custom event (there are not active right now coz it wasn’t working):
    GA trigger
    FB + LinkedIn trigger

The banner was only showing Functional, Marketing (No Statistics) :
    – with only Functional I could see _ga and _gid cookie
    – with Marketing checked I could see _gat_UA
    – no LinkedIn or Facebook cookies

Normally I’ve got all those cookies: Cookies list

So what am I missing?! Cookie management and GTM are all new to me. :s
Really hope to find some guidance on how to set up the plugin correctly! Thanks in advance for your time.

    Best regards

    Hi @carnets2routards,

Please trigger custom events on events that “equal” cmplz_event_0 (for example).

For the statistics not showing up in the banner, try adding ‘statistics,’ ( instead of just ‘statistics’).

If you could share your URL, I can help a bit better.

    let me know!

    regards Aert

    Hi @aahulsebos ,

Thanks a lot for your quick answer!

    – adding the comma did the trick, thanks ^^

    – to be precise I’m not the one having access to GTM, the person tried this configuration but cookies disappear altogether if we let only custom event (without All pages):
    Trigger Configuration
    Marketing trigger
    Tag GA

    Website is: aepsilon.com

Thanks again a lot for your help.

PS: we’re trying to have a full accessible website and I’m using https://wave.webaim.org/ browser extension to check this and Complianz got errors (labels forms and contrast), I can edit color to fix contrast but I reckon it will be cool if someone on your side can check the errors on labels form.
Same on the Declaration cookies page, (12 errors and multiple alerts). If you want I can open another topic for this ??

    Hi @carnets2routards,

For the one who is configuring GTM, you can send them https://demo.complianz.io/, the second row on the left is a GTM Demo container, this will help.

In this article you can find your way to a clientdemo Tag Manager account.

If you use the GDPR/France as a reference you can set Analytics (while anonymized) to all pages and remove statistics as a category as long there no other tags firing on cmplz_event_0. (https://complianz.io/anonymizing-ip-and-remarketing/)

Concerning WCAG, we have an update coming with some adjustments for WCAG 2.1.

    Hi @aahulsebos ,

Thank you soooo much! It took us a little bit more time but we finally manage to set up everything correctly (well I hope so).

FYI, the person managing GTM used “contains” keyword instead of “equals”, this last one wasn’t working, maybe too strict?
We used your advice and anonymized IP to be able to use GA with Functional, the social one are on Marketing/all.

And also really glad to know you are doing WCAG adjustments, I just updated the banner color to have a darker blue but Wave still complain about the banner form labels for example.

    Thanks again a lot.
    Warm regards

    Hi @carnets2routards,

Great! We will be releasing this in the next few weeks. Focussing on the banners and documents on the front-end. For 5.0, a major release we will update the usability of the back-end. Thanks for the feedback, regards Aert
